| Zest for Life - Thomas Adams/Mirui Partnership Charity Details The rose was originally named as a memorial to a former Thomas Adams, Wem, student Ross Jones who was tragically killed in a car crash in 2005. Sales raise funds for the Thomas Adams and Buntingsdale Global Partnership Initiative, a project that provides education and resources for two schools, Miriu and Innis, in a remote rural area of Kenya. The name Zest for Life symbolises the vitality and optimism of all our young people; the rose is living, growing and sustainable - the same things we hope for within our partnership and for the pupils we support and work with.
Zest for Life was registered as a Charity in 2008, its other main source of income is the 100+ individual sponsors who generously donate £10 per month to enable a child to attend secondary school in our Kenyan partner schools. The broader Zest for Life Partnership is managed by Thomas Adams School and is the vehicle for developing and co-ordinating curriculum links, undertaking multi-agency work within the Miriu School community and managing funds raised in school. Since its launch the rose has generated over £2,200 for the Partnership Initiaitve.
